BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., May 12, 2022 – Thanks to the support of golfers and sponsors, the 6th Annual Literacy Links Golf Tournament raised $33,000. The funds will help link local children and adults to literacy programs that will help them succeed in school and life.

The tournament took place at the beautiful Palm Beach Par 3. Afterward, players were treated to lunch, awards and a silent auction at al Fresco Restaurant at the clubhouse.

“Our annual Literacy Links Golf Tournament is one of our most popular fundraisers, and it’s easy to see why,” said Literacy Coalition CEO Kristin Calder. “The Palm Beach Par 3 offers spectacular views and excellent food. But more than that, these golfers are fans of the programs we provide in Palm Beach County, and this tournament is a fun way for them to chip in.”

Sponsors of the event included Brenda Medore of Gulf Stream, Publix Super Markets Charities, Cozen O’Connor, Palm Beach State College, PGA of America, Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, and an anonymous donor.

Special thanks to Nancy Vera of Delray Beach who chaired the event.
