Walk, Run or Bike to Raise Money for Local Adult and Children’s Literacy Programs
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla., Oct. 18, 2022 – The 13th Annual LOOP for Literacy is set for Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach. Walkers, runners and cyclists are invited to participate in the fundraiser for the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County.
You can organize a team of colleagues, family, friends or participate as an individual to actively support literacy programs that help children and adults be successful in school and life. Participants receive a race tech shirt and a book-themed finisher medal. Every child registered receives a book.
Participants can choose from:
- ROADSIDE BIKE RIDE:
- Early Bird: $50; after 1/11/23: $60
- 7:00 a.m.
- The 24-mile ride includes a rest stop at Manatee Lagoon and loops back to Bryant Park. A helmet is required for all cyclists.
- 5K USATF CERTIFIED RUN / WALK:
- Adult – Early Bird: $35; after 1/11/23: $45
- Student (18 and under) – Early Bird: $15; after 1/11/23: $20
- 8:00 a.m. start time for runners
- Awards for 5K 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for men’s and women’s top finishers
- Awards for 5K 1st place male and female 50 and over.
- 8:05 a.m. start time for walkers
- KIDS 1-MILE FUN RUN: (12 and under)
- $10 – 8:45 a.m.
- KIDS 100-YARD DASH: (7 and under)
- $10 – 9:00 a.m.
